Bryan Weiss

Bryan Weiss is in his first academic year as North Central's Student Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) Advisor. Weiss is also in his second academic year as an Assistant Professor of Sports Management at North Central University.

He enjoys working with local sports organizations (e.g. Minnesota Vikings, St. Paul Saints, Minnesota Frost) to create learning and career opportunities for North Central students.  This passion to help our students succeed helped create NCU Voices, a series of conversational, story-driven masterclasses built for our students, presented by local partners — meant to inspire, empower, and develop our students into bold leaders ready to shape the future.

He has over 25 years of coaching experience, having held positions at Briar Cliff University, Judson College, Crossroads College, and Rochester Community and Technical College. During his most recent tenure, he transformed the RCTC soccer program into a national powerhouse, consistently ranked in the top five of the NJCAA national standings. Under his leadership, the team won four consecutive NJCAA Region XIII Tournaments and MCAC conference championships. He was also named NJCAA Region XIII Coach of the Year five years in a row.

He has also taught Sports Management and Physical Education courses at Judson College and Crossroads College and served as faculty sponsor for student organizations such as the Sports Management Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Athletic Board. Weiss has served on the board of directors for Savlo Soccer Club, Rochester, MN Sports, the Southern Minnesota Adult Soccer Association, and Southern Minnesota Select. He has also held sports management positions in professional basketball, professional volleyball, amateur hockey, fantasy sports, amateur baseball, and more.

Bryan and Kim are proud parents of their children, Charlie and Kaitlyn, as well as their son-in-law, Trevor. They are an active family who enjoys traveling, attending live theater and community festivals, and, of course, cheering on their favorite teams at sporting events (Go Rams!).
