  • Title
    Physician Fellow
Miriam Alpert is in her first year serving as North Central University’s Physician Fellow through Mayo Clinic.

Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Alpert grew up as the middle of five children and was a lifelong athlete, especially passionate about soccer. She earned her undergraduate degree from Chapman University and completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. During medical school, she chose to pursue an additional year to teach osteopathic manipulative treatment to fellow students.

Dr. Alpert went on to complete her internship at the University of California, Riverside before relocating to Chicago for residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Her professional interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound and lifestyle medicine.

An avid traveler who has visited over 30 countries, Dr. Alpert enjoys staying active and experimenting with healthy recipes—though she admits ice cream is her favorite food. She is excited to explore Minneapolis and the nearby lakes while supporting the health and performance of NCU student-athletes throughout the year.
