Game Recap
- North Central found themselves in a defensive battle on Thursday afternoon. Both teams had a few early opportunities, but were unable to capitalize. North Central had the first opportunity to strike as senior, Abby Schwinden, sent a missile to the net within the first minute of the contest, but it was corralled by the goalkeeper. Both teams continued to stay stout defensively making it difficult for either to create much separation, sending the teams to halftime with the score locked at 0-0. Northland came out of the break firing as they were able to break the tie in the 47th minute with the first goal of the game. The Rams would not go away quietly as Abby Schwinden was able to find her way through the Northland defense for another opportunity, this time finding the back of the net in the 68th minute. The Lumberjills continued to push the tempo as they were able to take back their one goal lead in the 76th minute with a shot that just snuck past Ellie Tieszen into the back of the net. North Central continued to battle, but Northland's attack proved to be too much for the Rams as the Lumberjills added one more insurance goal late in the contest to defeat the Rams by a score of 3-1.
