MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Rams didn't quite have enough in the tank against NCCAA rival, Trinity Bible College. In a close match that finished with a deciding fifth set score of 13-15, the Rams found themselves on the losing end despite solid efforts from a number of players. The loss drops North Central to 6-22 on the season with three matches remaining.
Match Vitals:
- The Rams dominated virtually every statistical category on the evening, but were unable to finish off the Lions in a deciding fifth set.
- Parents of Rams players joined the team to celebrate parent night with a display of appreciation taking place prior to the match.
Match Recap:
- After dropping the first set by a score of 28-26, the Rams would rebound for a solid second set win with a final score of 25-20. In the third set, the Rams were struck by errors time and time again as they dropped the set 20-25. In the fourth set, the Rams showed their potential as they crushed the Lions 25-9, incurring few errors and a monster number of kills against a weaker block. In the fifth and deciding set, the Rams were without the services of senior Rachel Beckman after an injury sidelined her for the remainder of the match during the fourth set. Stepping in to help the Rams were a number of players as North Central battled for the match victory. Unfortunately for Rams fans, a block attempt would end the match 13-15. The Rams were led by seniors Emma Middendorf, Bekah Parker, and Maddie Stocker on the evening.
