Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Rams Win Final Game of the Regular Season

  • Freshman goalkeeper, Ryan Mau, got his first start of the season and played very well for the Rams, 6 saves
  • The win moves the Rams to 8-7-2 (4-5-2 UMAC) and give the Rams a birth in the NCCAA Regional Tournament.

Game Recap

  • The contest began as a classic UMAC battle as the two were deadlocked at 0-0 for a majority of the first half. The Rams turned to junior, Josue Boutouli, for an offensive spark and he delivered with a goal in the 35th minute to break the tie. The goal put some separation between the Eagles, as the two headed to halftime. The Eagles looked to answer in the second half and they were able to early as they netted a goal in the 53rd minute, but the Rams answered right back to steal the lead in the 55th minute thanks to the foot of senior, Chris ForestThe Eagles remained on attack, hoping to tie the game back up but the Rams continually halted their offensive tempo. The Rams looked as though they were on their way to a 2-1 victory, but the Eagles refused to go away as they knotted the game up with just over three minutes to play, which sent the two to overtime. The Eagles had a few early opportunities in the extra period, but it would be the Rams who were able to find the back of the net as Dennis Morales scored in the 96th minute to lift the Rams over the Eagles.
