MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team hosted UMAC rival Crown College (CC) for a Saturday conference matchup in downtown Minneapolis. The matchup against the Storm was highly anticipated, being named the UMAC Game of The Week. The Rams came away with the victory with the final score of 61-48.

Game Recap

• The Rams got going quickly in this game as they started with a 15-2 run. Haleigh Filer recorded 9 points early to pace the Rams attack in the first quarter. In the second quarter Crown and North Central traded baskets as NCU took a nine point lead into the half behind a 47.8 shooting percentage from the field. In the second half the Storm came out strong, cutting the Rams lead to 37-32 with 5:33 remaining in the 3rd quarter. NCU responded and pushed the lead back to 10 after Alice Cato connected on a 2-point basket and was sent to the line for the three-point play. NCU took a 14 point lead into the final quarter of play. Crown was able to cut into the lead but it was not enough as NCU came away with the victory.
