Box Score ST PAUL, Minn - North Central University (NCU) men's basketball traveled across the Twin Cities on Saturday to take on Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) foe Northwestern St. Paul (UNW). UNW, coming off a key conference win against 2018 UMAC champion Bethany Lutheran College this week, carried that momentum into Saturday's contest as the Eagles defeated the Rams by a score of 85-67.

- The loss moves the Rams to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in UMAC play.

- From the opening whistle UNW seemed to set the tone as they opened the game on an 8-0 before AJ McGrew knocked down a layup to get the Rams on the board. The Eagles kept the pressure on as they built a lead to 15 points with a minute to go in the first period. At the half the Rams trailed 36-23 behind leading scorer Jack Martin with six points. In the second half UNW continued their high scoring attack ultimately extending their lead to 21 points after a made free-throw from Johnny Erickson half way through the second half. Despite four players in double figures (Martin, High, Filer, Kavanaugh), the Rams were unable to cut in to the deficit in the second half.

- The Rams will head into final exam week with two home contests. On Wednesday, December 12th the Rams will host The College of St.Schoastica with tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m. On Saturday, December 15th the Rams will host Crown College with tip-off slated for 4:45 p.m.
