Box Score ST PAUL, Minn. - The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team traveled across the Twin Cities to Northwestern-St. Paul (UNW) for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest on Saturday afternoon. The UNW Eagles came away with a 56-44 victory over the Rams.

- NCU shot 26.6 percent (17-for-64) from the field and 16.7 percent (6-for-36) from behind the arc.
- UNW shot 42.3 percent (22-for-52) from the field and 19 percent (4-for-21) from behind the arc.
- The loss moves the Rams to a 5-3 overall record and a 1-1 mark in UMAC play.
Game Recap
- In the first half the two UMAC rivals went toe-to-toe. UNW took an eight point lead into the second period as they lead 20-12 after the first period of play. An Allison Bulthuis three-point basket cut the lead to five with just over seven minutes left in the second quarter. The Rams and Eagles traded baskets as the UNW lead hovered around five points. A 7-0 run from the Eagles in the final two minutes of the first half extended their lead over the Rams to 12 points. Allison Bulthuis led the way for the Rams in the first half as she had nine points as she went 3-for-9 from behind the arc. In the second half the Rams opened the third quarter with a solid 6-2 run to cut into the Eagles lead. The Rams outpaced the Eagles 17-10 in the third quarter. NCU continued the strong play well into the fourth quarter. A Betty Rand made jumper cut the lead to a one possession game at 43-40 with just under seven minutes to play. UNW went on a 11-2 run following Rand's made jumper to extend their lead as the fourth quarter wore on. NCU halted the UNW run with a made layup from Haleigh Filer with 1:15 left in the game as the Eagles led by a ten point spread. UNW continued to work the clock and ultimately prevailed over the Rams.

- The Rams will head into final exam week with a pair of UMAC contests at home. On Wednesday, December 12th the Rams will host The College of St. Scholastica at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 15th the Rams will host Crown College with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in downtown Minneapolis.
