Winona, Minn - North Central University opened their season Friday with a narrow loss courtesy of the Cardinals of Saint Mary's.

Game Recap

• The Rams found themselves in a defensive battle with the Cardinals during the early portion of the night. The first shot of the game, for either team, was recorded in the eighth minute of the contest. Saint Mary's was able to get on the board first in the 15^th minute to take an early lead. Both teams continued to battle on the defensive end leaving the Cardinals with a 1-0 lead until the 58^th minute, when the Cardinals rattled off two goals in sixty seconds. The Rams would add a goal thanks to the leg of freshman, Tian Elder, in the 79^th minute. The Rams would eventually fail to tack on any goals, suffering a 3-1 loss to Saint Mary's
