Boutoli Wins it in Overtime for the Rams

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - North Central University was back at home on Saturday evening playing host to the University of Minnesota-Morris. • Danny Williams continues his impressive start scoring his 5th goal of the year.
  • Josué Boutouli posted his best performance of the season so far with 2 impressive goals.
  • The win moves the Rams to 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in the UMAC.

Game Recap

  • North Central was the first to strike on Saturday as junior, Josué Boutouli, was able to find the back of the net in the 23rd minute for his first goal of the season. The Rams continued to stay on attack, not letting the Cougars get much going offensively as they missed on their only attempt of the first half. North Central added to their lead in the 44th minute when senior, Danny Williams, sent a missile to the back of the net to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Minnesota-Morris came out of the break with something to prove as they inched closer in the 69th minute to make the score 1-2. The Cougars continued their offensive stride with another goal in the 73rd minute to tie the game up. Neither team would muster up any opportunities before the final whistle which sent the two to overtime. The Rams were able to come up with the only opportunity in the extra period as Boutouli put the dagger in the game with his second goal of the contest to give the Rams their first UMAC win of the year.
