MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - North Central University hosted their second UMAC opponent in as many games, this time welcoming the University of Minnesota Morris. The Rams were able to net a goal in the 79^th minute to take the lead and the victory as they upend the Cougars by a score of 2-1 for their first UMAC win of the season.

• Payton Swoboda gets back on track, scoring her sixth and seventh goal of the year.

Game Recap

• The Rams stormed out of the gate with a goal from freshman, Payton Swoboda, in the 1^st minute of the contest. Morris continued to battle throughout the first period, eventually tying the game in the 37^th minute. North Central had a huge opportunity late in the half sending two shots on net within 5 seconds of each other, but were shut down by some stellar play from the Morris goalkeeper, keeping the score tied heading into halftime. Neither team found much success early on in the final 45 minutes, each doing all they could defensively. The Ram's efforts continued to fall short until the 79^th minute when Swoboda found a seam off a well-timed pass from sophomore, MiKel Vacek, as she sent a shot that was tipped by the goalie initially, but fell off her hands into the back of the net. The Rams would stay stout on the defensive end the rest of the half to come away with a huge 2-1 victory of the Cougars.
