MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The night started out with a huge set win, 27-25, for the Rams against Crown College, but proved to be unsustainable as they would proceed to drop the next three sets in a 3-1 loss. Following the loss to Crown, North Central faced its toughest opponent of the season in the University of Northwestern St. Paul which currently is ranked 25th in the country. Although the Rams would fight hard, they would drop all three sets in the match. On the night, the Rams would finish 0-2, dropping the overall record for the season to 3-10.
Match Vitals:
• The Rams won the first set of the evening before dropping their next six sets.
• Rachel Beckman recorded an impressive stat line versus Crown with 17 assists, 12 digs, and 6 kills.
Match Recaps:
• Against Crown, the Rams showed early that they are a team of grit as they won the first set 27-25. The Rams would play the next three sets close, however, they would not find another victory on the night as they dropped the match 3-1. Against Crown, senior Rachel Beckman would lead the way recording 17 assists, 12 digs, and 6 kills on the match.
• Northwestern showed why they are a top 25 ranked team against the Rams by quickly handing the Rams a 3-0 defeat in the second match of the evening. None of the sets were close for the Rams as Northwestern had a dominant attack throughout the entire match. The Rams were led by Emily DiGiorgio with 7 kills on the match.

• Rachel Beckman - 20 assists, 21 digs, and 10 kills on the evening.
• Emily DiGiorgio - 12 kills and 3 blocks on the evening.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday when they play host to UMAC rivals Northland College (2:00PM) and Martin Luther (6:00PM).Â
