Game Recap
- Both teams were slow to get going coming out of the weather delay. After a couple minutes, as the rain continued to pour, the shots began to as well for the Rams. North Central was unable to get anything into the net until the 20th minute when freshman, Payton Swoboda, sent a missile through the rain and into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. Both teams traded shot attempts in the last 25 minutes of the first period, but the Rams headed to the break clinging to their 1 goal lead. In the second period, much like the weather, the Storm would not go away as they were able to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 56th minute of the contest. The Rams were able to take the lead back a few minutes later thanks to sophomore, Anna Hartwig, in the 62nd minute. The goal proved to be the decider as the Rams kept up their strong defensive effort to close out the half to come away with the 2-1 victory over Crown.
