MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team hosted the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) at Clark-Danielson Gymnasium on Wednesday night. The Vikings, currently 2
nd in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), used a late 4
th quarter lead to get the victory on the road by a score of 65-56.

- BLC out shot NCU at the free throw ling 91.7 percent (22-for-24) to the Rams 72.2 percent (13-for-18)
- The Vikings used a 7-0 run late in the 4th quarter to propel them to a victory.
- Both teams struggled shooting from the field, Vikings shot 35.1 percent (20-for-57) while the Rams shot 25.3 percent (19-for-75)
Game Recap
- The Rams and the Vikings were neck and neck for most of the 1st quarter. Despite only scoring 7 first quarter points, the Rams found themselves only trailing the Vikings 12-7 at the end of the quarter. The Rams used a scoring outburst from senior guard Haleigh Filer and freshman Naomi Hagstrom. The duo combined for 10 straight points and gave the rams a 19-16 lead midway through the 2nd quarter. However, the Vikings managed to come back and take a narrow 26-25 halftime lead. Out of the break the Rams and Vikings continued to battle throughout the 3rd quarter. With late lay-up towards the end of the quarter the Rams were able to make it a 45-43 game heading into the final quarter of play. The Rams used back to back buckets to tie things up 47-47 with 5 minutes remaining in the game. The Vikings came roaring back with a 7-0 run giving them a 54-47 lead. The Rams battled but the Vikings late lead proved worthy as the Vikings took down the Rams at home by a score of 65-56.
