Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The North Central University (NCU) men's basketball team welcomed fellow twin city rival, The University of Northwestern Eagles, to Clark-Danielson Gymnasium on Wednesday night. The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest was close scoring for all of the contest but a late UNW run was enough for UNW to get the victory by a score of 80-70.

- NCU came out swinging, with senior Jared High scoring 7 of his 10 first half points in the first 4 minutes of the half. The two conferences rivals were neck and neck for majority of the early minutes in the first half, with the score tied up at 14-14 with 11:12 left in the half. A pair of UNW three point buckets giving them a 24-18 lead with 8 minutes remaining in the half. UNW used a couple costly NCU turnovers to extend their lead to 31-20 with 5:58 to play in the first half. NCU battled to cut down the UNW lead to 37-30 heading into the halftime break. Out of the break NCU got the momentum going with freshman Micah Filer going on a 9-0 personal run to give NCU the lead 39-37. The run continued for NCU. Three point buckets by Micah Filerand Riley Loukinen continued to fuel NCU's 17-4 run to open the half. NCU led 47-41 with 14:30 left to play. UNW shot themselves back into the contest with an 8-2 run to bring the game to 49-48. The contested remained close until a 7-0 UNW run have them a 64-57 lead with 3:20 left to play. The run was all UNW need as they went on the road and got the win by a score of 80-70.
