Box Score ASHLAND, WIS. - The North Central University (NCU) men's basketball team hit the road on Wednesday night as they traveled to Northland College for a Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The Rams ultimately fell to the Lumberjacks by a score of 74-66. The loss moves the Rams to 4-10 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

- Halfway through the first period the game proved to be a tight contest. Freshman Micah Filer led the way for the Rams early on as he made four of his first five shots and went a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the arc. Filer hit the double digit mark at the 6:46 mark in the first half as the Rams trailed 24-22 early on. With 4:55 remaining in the first half the Rams tied the game up after a Jack Martin layup. The Rams would outscore the Lumberjacks by a tight 13-9 margin down the stretch to finish the first period. At the half Micah Filer led Rams scorers with 13 points. Jared High followed with 11 points after going 5-for-7 from the field in the first half. In the second half the Lumberjacks came out early and began to overtake the narrow Ram lead. Northland built a ten point lead at 64-54 with just under nine points remaining in the game. The Rams would answer but would be unable to cut into the eight point spread over the remainder of the second half.
