Box Score ASHLAND, Wis - The North Central University women's basketball team traveled to Northland College on Wednesday evening for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The Rams came away with the victory by a score of 77-58. The win moves the Rams to a 8-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark in UMAC play.
 
Game Vitals

• Three Rams were in double figures as Filer, Hagstrom, and Shield all had great performances. Haleigh Filer and Naomi Hagstrom each posted career highs in points scored.
• NCU shot a phenomenal 57.9 percent (33-for-57) from the field.
• The Rams shot 52.9 percent (9-for-17)  from behind the arc.

 
Game Recap

• The Rams got off to a quick start in this game as they opened the first quarter on a 13-0 run before Northland got on the board as Ashton Meadows hit two free-throws for the Lumberjills. The Lumberjills would battle their way back as the Rams would have a 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Both teams matched each other in the second quarter and the Rams took an eight point lead into the locker room at the break. In the second half the Rams would continue to build their lead. NCU was able to build the lead to 23 points before the Lumberjills cut into the lead as the Rams would prevail by a 19 point margin.
