MINNEAPOLIS, -- In their final home match of the 2019 season, the North Central University (NCU) volleyball team clashed with
UMAC foe, the University of Wisconsin - Superior (UWS) Yellowjackets. In a contest that included a dynamic-offensive powerhouse Yellowjacket volleyball team, the Rams were unable to keep up in route to dropping the match in a hard-fought three sets.

On senior day 2019, the Rams faced a tough challenge against the extremely deep and versatile
UMAC-powerhouse UWS Yellowjackets. The match included lengthy rallies through all three sets played and the Rams gave their all by bestowing their fight against a highly competitive team. Each set was exceedingly similar to one another in terms of total team stats and ending scores of each set (25-12, 25-14, and 25-12), which shows the Rams' consistency to keep battling as each set played out throughout the match. The Yellowjackets managed to throw different looks at the Rams by continuing to substitute a variety of outside hitters. Although the Rams were unable to swing any momentum to their side of the court throughout the contest, their fighting spirit never left the gym during the Yellowjackets' three sets to zero victory.

- In her final home match in Clark-Danielson Gymnasium, Graduate-Senior setter Rachel Beckman notched 11 assists and was fundamental to the Rams' offensive showing.
- The UMAC service-aces per set leader Hannah Fischer managed 11 digs and 5 kills on the afternoon.
- Leading NCU at the net was Emily DiGiorgio, who recorded 9 kills against a solid Yellowjacket backcourt.
Looking Ahead
After dropping to a 9-13 overall record on the year now (1-6
UMAC) , NCU volleyball has fallen out of contention to find a spot within the 2019
UMAC playoffs. Although the defeat will not give the Blue and Gold to compete in any postseason volleyball action, they still have a lot to look forward to in their final match. The Rams will hit the road one last time against the Bethany Lutheran College Vikings in search of ending the 2019 campaign on a high note.
