Game Recap

• The Eagles were quick to the jump on Saturday as they scored in the 11th minute to steal the lead and break the scoreless tie. The Rams scoring attack appeared to be stifled on the box score, but were consistently present in Eagles's scoring zones throughout the first half however, they could not capitalize. While the Rams were unable to turn chances into points, the Eagles continued to find the back of the net in the first 45 minutes as they added one goal in the 28th minute and another in the 36th minute. Facing a 3-0 halftime deficit, the Rams were poised to turn the tables in half number two. NCU was able to utilize some defensive adjustments into progress as they held the Eagles scoreless in the final 45 minutes. Unfortunately, they could not find a spark on the offensive end as they failed to put any points on the board. The Eagles were able to fend off the Rams with a 3-0 victory, despite falling scoreless in the second half.  

Next up

• The Rams will have just under a week off as they prepare for a rematch with the Eagles. This time the Rams will travel to Ankeny, IA to do battle with Faith in a road matchup that is slated for Friday, September 6th, 4:00 p.m.
