MINNEAPOLIS -- The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team has been on a massive tear the past few weeks. Up until last night when the squad fell in a close match to the visiting College of St. Scholastica Saints, they managed a three-game winning streak and nearly clinched their best conference record in program history. This upcoming Saturday, both the men's and women's teams will make the short drive across the Twin Cities to visit the University of Northwestern (UNW) St. Paul Eagles.
Each week, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (
UMAC) selects one matchup that stands above the rest in terms of importance and the anticipation of a highly competitive game. This week, the conference selected the women's basketball game between the Rams and Eagles as the
UMAC Game of the Week.
