SUPERIOR, Wisc. -- North Central University (NCU) men's basketball took the two-hour bus trip up north on Saturday afternoon to compete in their fourth
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference contest of the 2020-21 campaign. In historic fashion, North Central pulled off the largest margin of victory against a
UMAC opponent by knocking off the University of Wisconsin, Superior (UWS) Yellowjackets by a final score of 94-49. In addition to the program cruising to the win, freshman forward
Cameron Thomas (Aurora, CO, Grandview High School) made history of his own, by tallying an NCU record 22 rebounds in the matchup.

North Central and Superior traded baskets for the first 10 minutes of the game, fueled by all five starters for the Rams recording points during the stretch. At the 7:49 mark,
Thomas put up a layup that gave the Rams the first lead they needed to never give it up the rest of the way in the contest. From there on, NCU dictated the pace of the game and started to the run the score up on the Yellowjackets. Over the last four minutes of the first half, North Central shot an efficient 7-of-10 from the field, fueling their way to a halftime score of 48 to 22.
The Rams came out in the latter 20 minutes of the game with the same firework display of shooting, going on multiple runs that were a result of
Tanner Holtman (Aurora, CO, Grandview High School), Micah Filer (Sacramento, CA, Capital Christian High School) and
Thomas three-pointers. The Rams never let Superior back into the game by a combination of long-range shooting and sound defense.
Thomas protected the rim and generated five blocks on the afternoon, allowing the Rams to dominate points scored in the paint. NCU's largest lead at any point in the game was with 10 seconds left in the half, when the score stood at 94-46 and just before Superior ended the game on a made three-pointer.

- Cameron Thomas was the star of night, posting an all-around performance for the true freshman. Thomas tallied a career-high 29 points on 5-of-9 3PT shooting, collected 22 rebounds, and recorded five blocks.
- Micah Filer followed behind by chipping in 15 points and five assists.

NCU men's basketball now sits at an undefeated 4-0
UMAC record and has officially captured sole possession of first place in the conference standings. Looking ahead the Rams will travel to New Ulm, Minn where they have a date with the Martin Luther College Knights on Thursday night.
