MINNEAPOLIS, Minn – The North Central University Men's Basketball team wrapped up their non-conference season against Oak Hills Christian on Tuesday night. Led by the inside/outside presence of their forwards, NCU routed the Wolfpack with a final score of 88-73.

The Rams came out quick, scoring on the first two possessions, but couldn't build a consistent lead throughout the first half. NCU's stretched the score to a 10-point gap in the opening frame, but the Wolfpack always found an answer, making big shots to keep themselves in the game. The two teams headed into the locker room with NCU on top by a slim margain, 42-37.
NCU picked up their defensive intensity after the half, quickly increasing their lead to double digits. Oak Hills hung around before a basket by Justin Castro (Kissimmee, FL), midway through the second half, gave the Rams their largest lead, never looking back. Oak Hills was able to make one last push, led by sophomore Deontray Anderson, who finished with a game-high 32 points, before NCU sealed the win, 88-73.
Key Performers:
- Kayden Sund (Golden, CO) shot 80% from the field on 8-10 shooting, producing the best game of his NCU career, with 18 points.
- Cameron Thomas (Aurora, CO) led the Rams in scoring, dropping 19 points, going 3-6 from long-range with 4 offensive rebounds.
- Jonathan Thompson (Kansas City, MO) rounded out a trio of strong performances from the NCU forwards with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

The Rams move to 10-8 on the season, 4-3 in UMAC play. They head down the road to the University of Northwestern for an important conference match-up on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 4:45 pm.
