Box Score Minneapolis, MN - Men's Soccer came out on top versus the Martin Luther Knights on Saturday (10/1) afternoon. The Rams were able to keep the Knights off the scoreboard and have good opportunities all game, leading to a 2-0 victory.

The first half of the game was a battle for both sides, and it remained knotted at 0-0 until right at the end of the first half when the Rams were able to find the back of the net. Evan Ackley (Sun Prairie, WI)was able to put in a nice header off the corner kick assist from Anthony Medina (Elk River, MN), giving the Rams the 1-0 lead.

In the second half, the game continued to be a battle when the Rams were able to find the back of the net a second time in the sixty-fourth minute. Weston Buckley (Budapest, HU) was able to sail the ball past the Knights goalie, assisted by Medina for his second of the night. 

Jerad Buse (Kearney, NE) was able to get the shutout on the evening in the net for the Rams, stopping all six shots on net he faced.

Men's Soccer will head on the road to take on Northland College on Wednesday (10/5) afternoon.
