Box Score Minneapolis, MN - Women's Soccer took the loss on Saturday (10/1) afternoon against the Martin Luther Knights. The Rams fought hard but were unable to overcome the 1-4 deficit. 

The Knights and Rams started the game in a tight battle, with the Knights getting a few scoring chances early on, and eventually capitalizing and taking a 1-0 lead in the fifteenth minute. The Knights would then find the back of the net one more time in the first half scoring in the 30th minute. 

The Rams would bring the score back within one in the beginning of the second half coming off the foot of Isabella Connell (Champlin, MN) in the 60th minute, making the score 1-2 in favor of the Knights. The Rams attempted to carry that momentum from the goal, and would have a few more scoring chances right after, but it was the Knights that were able to capitalize next. The Knights finished the game with goals in the 65th and 68th minutes to bring the score to its eventual final of 1-4.

The Rams were led offensively by Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA), who led the team with nine shot attempts and six shots on goal along with the assist on Connell's goal. Abigail Herbolsheimer (Tawas City, MI) got the start in net for the Rams and played the first sixty minutes of the contest. Herbolsheimer made six saves in the contest allowing two goals against. Lindsey De Jong (St. Charles, MO) played the last thirty minutes of the contest in net, allowing two goals on four shots on net.

The Rams head out to Wisconsin to take on Northland College on Wednesday (10/5) afternoon.
