Cougars win battle against Rams

Box Score Morris, MN- The North Central University Rams men's soccer team took their last trip of the road trip to play the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars. After 90 minutes of fighting the Cougars would take the 2-0 victory.

In the first period, both teams came out balanced. The time of possession was split throughout the period. It wasn't until the twentieth minute when the cougars would score the first goal of the game, giving them a 1-0 lead. For the rest of the period, both teams played good soccer as neither team was able to score, and both offenses were going up and down the field. Halftime approached and the Cougars went in with the 1-0 lead.

The second period was a lot like the first. Neither team was able to crack the other and the game was very balanced. In the sixty-sixth minute the Cougars were able to break the Rams defense and score the second goal of the game giving them a 2-0 lead. The Rams would attempt four shots after the second goal but none of them would go in. The final buzzer rang and the Rams would fall short with a score of 2-0.

Looking ahead:
