Minneapolis, MN - Rocket League Blue reigns victorious, Gold team is less fortunate.
Rocket League Blue went the distance this past Monday playing all 5 games of a very close series with Glenville State. Every game was decided by just 1 point, except for the first, which was a 2pt spread. Game 1 went to NCU 3-1. The next two games went to GSU, both with a score of 2-3. NCU ultimately won the series winning the next two games with a score of 4-1 and 4-3 respectively. Russell "BigTimeRuss" Nielsen was the standout player of the match, scoring 9 of the 13 goals scored by NCU throughout all five games.Â
Rocket League Gold was not as fortunate, losing their series against Bushnell University 1-3. The first game was 1-3 in favor of Bushnell. While Gold saw some success with a win in game two 3-2, they would go on to lose the next two games 1-3 and 0-3. Ryan "Maui" Mau would have an incredible 9 goal saves in their second game allowing them to play more than 3 minutes of overtime to clinch the game 2 win.Â
Looking ahead, Rocket League has its next match on Monday (10/7)!
