Box Score Ankeny, IA -- The North Central University Rams women's basketball team wrapped up this weekend's games with a win against Faith Baptist Bible College. North Central went undefeated in the Faith Baptist Classic Tournament.Â

NCU had a great start to the first quarter with a 16-3 run against the Eagles. Overall, the Ram's defense was a standout reason for their success. North Central had 13 fewer turnovers and 13 offensive rebounds resulting in 26 more possessions. Faith Baptist tried to battle back with a couple of jump shots toward the end of the half, but NCU's efficient scoring threat helped them keep the lead at 47-25.

The second half led with more uncontested shots by the Rams. The Eagles gained a bit of momentum through their free-throw shots. Faith Baptist did a good job getting to the free-throw line as they shot 24 free throws and made 16. The North Central bench came in the clutch once again scoring over a third of the total NCU points. Freshman
Lydia Schroeder was a top 3 scorer for the Rams in her 12 minutes playing. North Central sealed their victory with a final jump shot and steal, winning 78-53.
