Minneapolis, MN -- Rocket League falls in their first ever NACE Divisional Championship match against Central Pennsylvania College (CPC).
North Central University's Rocket League Blue Team made it to their first ever NACE Divisional Championship match. The team faced off against Central Pennsylvania College this past Monday (11/28). In the first game, North Central University (NCU) struggled to keep the ball out of their defending half of the field. With a final of 2-5, Central Penn took the series opening game. In game two, NCU was able to make defensive adjustments and keep the game knotted up at 2-2 at the end of six minutes. However, their strong defensive play faltered in the final minute of play, where they would concede 2 goals, resulting in a 2-4 defeat. Looking to seize any ounce of momentum in game three, NCU was successful in taking better control of the midfield. Unfortunately, CPC's offensive firepower proved to overwhelm the Rams defense and the opposing Knights won game three with a count of 3-0. Facing a steep 0-3 deficit, NCU hoped to steal game four in order to stay alive in the series. Unable to gain control of the match, NCU would lose the fourth game with a score of 1-3, making the final score 4-0 in Central Penn's favor.
Rocket League Blue finished 2nd place in their division in an impressive inaugural season of the NCU esports program!Â
