St. Paul, MN -- The North Central Rams Men's Basketball team hit the road to take on the Division I, St. Thomas Tommie's. A hard fought battle by both sides resulted in the Tommie's picking up the exhibition win in style. North Central fell with a score of 111-63.
In the first half, St. Thomas came out of the gates being shot out of a cannon. Firing on all cylinders, the Tommie's managed to produce an early insurmountable lead on the Rams. With NCU shooting 42.9% from the floor, it was a struggle to match the consistent buckets from St. Thomas. Heading into the break the Rams trailed by a score of 61-32.
In the second half, NCU tried to draw up a new scheme in hopes of mounting a stunning comeback. Unfortunately, the experience and high caliber talent from the Tommie's outweighed the halftime adjustments by the Rams, as they continued to dominate the game end to end. North Central University's performance improved throughout the second half as they shot 48% from the floor and 54.5% from the three point stripe. The final buzzer sounded and the Rams lost with a score of 111-63.
