Box Score Ankeny, IA- The North Central University Rams women's volleyball team was headed to the NCCAA North Region championship to take on the Maranatha Baptist Sabercats. The Sabercats would win the tournament with a three set to none victory over the Rams.
In the first set, both teams were ready for a chance at the title. Both teams would go back and forth to bring the score to 5-5. With the score knotted up the Sabercats would go on a run to give them the 20-11 lead. With the Rams backs against the wall they would rumble on back to bring it to a 22-21 game. With it being anyone's game the Sabercats put some magic together and fought it out to take the set with a score of 25-23. The Rams picked up eleven kills in the set as the Sabercats would pick up twelve.
In the second set, it would start off in a close battle as the score was all tied up at four. With it being tied the Sabercats would take matters into their own hands and would go on a run that would last almost the entire set as they would go up 22-12.With no room to spare the Rams would fall in the set with a score of 25-13 to give the Sabercats a two set to none lead. The Rams were out-killed in the set twelve to nine.
With the game at two sets to none the Rams season was on the line and the rally caps were on. The Sabercats were hungry for the title as they went up eight to none to start off the third set to give the Rams all that they could handle. The Rams had a burst of scoring but it was just a little late as the score was 19-9 and that turned into a set final of 25-17. The Sabercats took the third set and became the NCCAA North Region champions and the Rams season would come to an end after a great season.

Hailey Lerfald (Wanamingo, MN) with her eight kills and three digs on the night.
Cara Pence (Litchfield, IL)also had a big game for the Rams as she picked up nine kills and three digs of her own for the squad. Another big performance from
Katie Martin (Champlin, MN) as she had a team leading twelve digs for NCU. Another shout-out for
Makayla Krohnberg (Blaine, MN) as she filled up the stat sheet with five kills and another seven digs for the team.
