ASHLAND, Wisc. -- The North Central University (NCU) men's lacrosse team battled with Northland College (NC) in their second
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest of the season. The Rams put up a valiant effort in four periods, but the Lumberjacks took the win with a 23-4 victory.
Game Recap
NCU put up three shots in the first period, two of which were on goal, but none found the back of the net. NC on the other hand netted four goals against Rams goalkeeper,
Braden Davenport (Portage, WI).
Davenport and the NCU defense saw a lot of action including 32 shots in the first two periods.
Davenport recorded 13 saves but the Lumberjacks scored six more goals in the second period. The Rams did score two goals to combat NC.
Jackson Smith (Chanhassen, MN) scored the first in the eleventh minute of the second period followed by a buzzer-beater from
Jaydon Crim (Hudson, WI, Hudson High School) to end the period.
The Lumberjacks had their most successful period up next as they scored nine goals in just the third period. NCU did not record any penalties in the third, but did record another goal from
Keegan Gare (Lakeville, MN).
Gare's first collegiate goal was assisted by
Smith. The final Ram goal was scored by
Crim in the final minute of the game, showing the resilience and persistence of the NCU lacrosse team. NC did scored four more goals in the last period ending the game with a score of 23-4.
NCU moves to 0-7 on the season.

- Senior Jaydon Crim scored two goals off of five shots.
- Jackson Smith also aided in the offensive effort with one goal and one assist.
- Snagging two ground balls, Keegan Gare scored one goal.
