Second half falls short for the Rams

Box Score Storm Lake, IA -- The North Central University (NCU) women's soccer team took a road trip to Iowa to compete against Buena Vista for their second match this week. Though the game was a close 1 - 2 in the first half, the team was not able to score another goal as the game ended in a win for the Beavers, 3-1.

Game Recap:

With cooler weather to start the weekend, the team geared up to play in their third match of the 2022 season. Starting off the game strong for the Rams, Isabella Connell (Champlin, MN) got straight to the point scoring for the team within the first 3 minutes. Connell continued the game with two more shots, one in the first half and another in the second. Team seniors Hannah Grubbs (Mantua, OH) and Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA) fought hard for goals as they each shot twice in the second half of the game. In the last 30 minutes, the Rams had several good opportunities on goal and gave great energy despite the score. Though faced with a loss, the team is eager to continue their season and fight for a win.

Looking ahead:

The Rams are back in action on September 14th as they take on Finlandia on their home turf at Elliot Park Field. All fans are encouraged to tune into official Rams InstagramFacebook, and Twitter pages for updates on the women's soccer team and much more information.
