Box Score Minneapolis, MN -- The North Central University Women's Soccer team kicked off their season at home against the Canadian team, Providence Manitoba. The Rams fought hard, but the Pilots won the battle in a 0-2 shut-out.
Rams had chances early on to score but it was the Pilots that were able to capitalize first and take the momentum in the first half. The Pilots kept the momentum putting pressure on the Rams for the remainder of the half. In the second half, the Rams made a strong push again but it was once again the Pilots that were able to take advantage of their opportunities, giving themselves a 2-0 lead, which is where the score would stay for the remainder of the game.
A notable stand-out for the rams was
Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA), who put multiple shots on the net for the Rams but was unable to find the back of the net.
Hannah Grubbs (Mantua, OH) was also able to pepper the goalkeeper of the Pilots with some high-quality shots. but were ultimately stopped short of the goal line.

In their next game, the women head to Viterbo University (WI) on September 7th at 4:00 PM for their first matchup on the road.
