Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Rams Fall to UW-Superior in One-Sided Affair

Superior, WI -- After falling to the Eagles in St. Paul, the North Central University women's soccer team headed to Superior, WI to take on the top team in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) in the Yellowjackets from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Yellowjackets would prove to be a UMAC contender as they beat the Rams by a score of 11-0. 

The first half would be all UWS as they were able to get off three shots within the first three minutes of the game. In the 4th minute, a shot would find the back of the net for the game's first goal as the Yellowjackets took a 1-0 lead over the Rams. UWS would score four more goals in the first half as they would take a 5-0 commanding lead over NCU. North Central would struggle to get past the Superior defense and could only get one shot in the half. The teams would go into halftime with Superior having a 5-0 lead over NCU. 

Out of the break, the Yellowjackets would not cool off one bit as they were able to score a goal in the 50th minute to take a 6-0 lead over NCU. The Yellowjackets would score five more goals in the second half as they were able to increase their lead to 11-0 over the Rams. North Central would total just one shot in the contest. Keeper Abigail Herbolsheimer would tally 14 saves in the game. Time would run out and NCU would fall to Superior by a score of 11-0.

Looking Ahead:

The women will be back at home this Saturday as they honor their seniors on Senior Day in their final home game versus the Crown College Polars. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
