Minneapolis, MN -- After falling short to the Knights from Martin Luther, North Central University (NCU) would host the Vikings from Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) in another Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest. North Central would struggle to slow down the offensive attack of Bethany, allowing 7 goals in the first half. The Rams would go on to lose this one by a score of 9-0.
The Vikings would get off to a hot start scoring a goal right away in the second minute of the game. They would score six more goals in the half to gain an early 7-0 lead. The BLC offense would stay in control of the game as they had 27 shots to NCU's 8. Senior Kara Lewis would have five shots with two of them on goal. Lewis would then receive a free-kick opportunity after a Bethany Lutheran handball. Unfortunately, the Vikings goalie would leap up for a great save, denying the Rams a much-needed score. After the first 45 minutes, Bethany would hold on to their 7-0 lead.
Coming out of halftime, Bethany would continue to place pressure on the Rams' defense as they were able to get three shots off within the first couple minutes of period two. BLC would end up getting 23 shots in the second half to North Central's 8. Lewis would once again lead the Ram's offense this half with four shots. However, the Rams would be unable to find the back of the net as they would fall to the Vikings by a final score of 9-0.
