Box Score Minneapolis, MN -- The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team secured a UMAC playoff spot with a win against Northland College (NLC) this Saturday at Clark-Danielson Gymnasium. This was the Ram's last regular season home game in which they celebrated their seniors. A celebration turned into a victory as North Central dominated over the Lumberjills 91-66.
Kaitlyn VanderPloeg showed up right out the gate with an and-one and hook shot. It was an intense battle for a while with the Lumberjills breathing down NCU's neck, but Â
Bryce Brewster was able to light a match for the Rams that NLC could not keep pace with. With 8 minutes to go before the half, DowntownU's lockdown defense secured a dominant advantage. North Central took a 46-35 lead and lots of momentum into the halftime locker room.
Coming in to finish what they started, the court become
Talso territory. Senior
