Minneapolis, MN — Monday night, North Central University (NCU) Rocket League took on Simpson College (SC) in a best-of-7 match for the NACE East 9 Conference Championship. After losing in the championship match in their inaugural fall season, Team Gold looked to become the first team in NCU Esports history to bring home a championship title. The Rams would do just that with a dominating 4-0 sweep to bring home the victory. 
Game 1 (4-1 W)
• NCU would start the series hot scoring 3 goals in the first 90 seconds
• The team would score 1 more goal to bring NCU's game one total to 4
• In the last 30 seconds, Simpson College would score their lone goal for the first game
• 
Ryan "maui" Mau would be a constant source of pressure for NCU's offense with 2 goals scored and 8 shots on goal. 
Mau would also have 2 assists
• 
Thomas "trippie_tom" Heimer would score the Rams' other two goals with 100% accuracy off of his two shots on goal
 
Game 2 (1-0 W)
• Simpson would bring in a sub for game 2 of the series to try to bring a refresh to their squad
• Both teams would play strong defensively in game two with both teams having only 7 shots on goal, many of which were blocked, leading to an overtime
• After nearly two minutes of overtime, 
Micah " miciliux" Headley would pass off the backboard to 
Mau who would score the game winning goal

Game 3 (3-1 W)
• The first 2 minutes saw both teams locking horns, neither able to gain the advantage
• Simpson would up their aggressiveness, creating a gap in the defense that 
Mau would capitalize off by flicking a goal over the defender from mid-field
• Momentum firmly on NCU's side, 
Mau would score again off a backboard flick from 
Headley
• 
Mau would return the favor passing off the back wall to 
Headley who would score their third goal
• Getting carried away, NCU would find themselves over-aggressing leaving their defense open for Simpson to score
• Still not enough, the Rams pull out the game 3 victory
 
Game 4 (6-0 W)
• Going into match series, North Central looked to seal their first championship by playing fast and aggressive rotations allowing no goals to be scored by SC
• NCU would ultimately have 11 shots on goal in the final game
• 
Mau would score 4 goals including a goal scored in the final seconds of the game as a punctuation to their dominant championship win
• 
Heimer and 
Headley would score 1 goal a piece to round out the final match of the season
