Mauston, WI -- North Central University (NCU) baseball continued Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play today as they took on the Crown College (CC) Polars in a conference doubleheader. The Rams dropped both games to the Polars falling by scores of 8-1 and 8-2.
Game 1: NCU 1, CC 8
The Polars would strike first in game one scoring a run in the top of the first inning. They scored two more in the fifth, one in the seventh, three in the eighth, and one more in the ninth. Crown would win game one by a final of 8-1 scoring 8 runs on 12 hits with 2 homeruns.
North Central was only able to plate one run in game one as Jon Roberts singled to score Michael Escalante in the bottom of the sixth.
Game 2: NCU 2, CC 8
Game two started similar to game one with Crown striking first in inning one. The Polars tacked on two runs off two hits in the top of the first. The Rams were able to score in the third as Julian Encinas singled to right field to score Willy Cruz. NCU would score again in the eighth as Jon Roberts singled to left to score Teagan Burch. However, Crown ended up scoring a combined 6 runs in the final four innings to put this one away as they secured their second win over the Rams with a score of 8-2.

North Central Baseball will continue UMAC play as they host the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran College on April 5th. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
