Minneapolis, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Softball resumed their 3-game home series with the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) Yellowjackets. In game one, UWS would hit 5 home runs en route to a commanding 27-3 win over NCU. Game two would be all Yellowjackets as well as NCU struggled defensively, committing 7 errors leading to a 19-1 win for UW-Superior.

The Yellowjackets jumped out to a big lead in the top of the first after recording 4 hits and 5 scored runs. Needing a big bounce-back, senior Isabella Galardo stepped up to the plate and sent a bomb to center for her second home run of the season. Unfortunately, the Rams could not rally and score any additional runs in the first. UWS continued their strong play by putting up 14 runs in the next two innings to increase their lead to 19-1. In the bottom of the third, Karmen Dotson reached on a walk and Gallardo singled to to move her teammate into scoring position. Maci Tripp would hit a sac fly to left field to score Dotson for the Rams' second run of the contest. In the bottom of the fourth, Maggie Kohl hit an RBI double to plate Genesis Friedl. Superior would go on to take this one by a final of 27-3 in 5 innings.

North Central was able to limit the damage by the UWS offense in the top of the first by only giving up one run. The Rams would be able to tie things in the bottom of the inning as Isabela Gallardo and Delaney Riddle walked before Aurora Prettyman singled to score Gallardo from third. In the top of the second, the Yellowjackets tacked on two more runs off a big 2 RBI double. Gallardo would be able to put up a zero in the third, but the Rams could not get anything going on offense. Superior opened things up in the fourth as they were aided by 4 NCU errors leading to 7 total runs as they took a 10-1 lead.
