St. Peters, MN -- The Men's and Women's Track and Field teams from North Central University (NCU) ventured to the Gustie Twilight Meet at Gustavus Adolphus College this evening, their third outdoor meet of the season. The day was distinguished by several individuals showcasing personal bests and posting competitive times.
Sprints & Distance:
On the women's side, freshman Deshawna Hodges led the team in both the 100-meter and the 200-meter races. She ran 13.57 in the 100m and 28.22 seconds in the 200m. Savi Rael led the team in the 400m with a time of 1:03.83. Jessica Redman led the 800-meter by running a season best of 2:34.71 (6th in UMAC).
On the men's side, senior Michael Herr-Zielke ran a new season best 1:07.31 in the 400-meter hurdles (5th in UMAC).
Throws:
On the men's team, Benjamin VanWyk, Caleb Lundt, and Garrett Converse swept the podium for Javelin Throw. VanWyk led the meet with a personal best distance of 37.04m, followed by Lundt and Converse with throws of 35.65m and 21.28m, respectively.Â
For the women's team, MiCayla Jones led the Rams with a hammer throw distance of 32.56m and a throw of 9.49m in shotput. Grace King led the team in both javelin and discus with throws of 23.54m and 28.48m, respectively.
Jumps & Pole Vault:
Kristen Ragasa led the team for the women's side in triple jump with a distance of 9.41m (5th in UMAC). Leading the team for pole vault was Elizabeth Dahl, who vaulted a height of 2.25m
Isaac Weiers led the men in the high jump today with a height of 1.85m (3rd in UMAC), placing second overall. Not far behind him was teammate Nehemiah Juaire with a season best jump of 1.80m (5th in UMAC).Â

Both Track & Field Teams head to the Holst Invite Meet hosted by Concordia University St. Paul this Saturday, April 20th.Â
