Rams Fall to Polars 14-6, Extending Conference Losing Streak to Nine

Roseville, MN -- After being swept by Bethany Lutheran College last weekend, the North Central University (NCU) baseball team would finish their three-game series versus the Polars of Crown College (CC). The Rams would allow 14 runs on 14 hits and 6 errors. In the end, the Polars completed the series sweep of the Rams winning by a score of 14-6.

Crown would strike first as the Rams gave up a three-run homer to start the game. NCU limited the damage in the first to three and would strike back as Julian Encinas homered to bring in Teagan Burch to make it 3-2 Crown. The Polars tacked on two more in the second and the Rams responded with one as Jon Roberts hit a sac fly to score Willy Cruz from third. Crown would get 2 more in the third to make it 7-3 in their favor.

Tim Yohan Dixon entered the game in the top of the fourth and put up a zero. In the bottom of the fourth, Caleb Alfaro walked with the bases loaded to bring in Cruz. Dixon held the Polar's offense down as he kept them hitless through the sixth. However, Crown made their adjustments at the plate in the seventh scoring 3 runs on 3 hits to increase their lead to 10-4. NCU was able to score two as Lorenzo Bazan doubled to plate Encinas and Nick Julian knocked in Cruz making it 10-6 still in favor of the Polars.

Unfortunately, Crown scored 3 runs in the eighth and one more in the ninth to put this one away as the Rams fell to 0-9 in conference play by a final score of 14-6.
