Minneapolis, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Athletics and NCU Esports is thrilled to announce that it will be joining the
Playfly College Esports League this fall. NCU joins the recently launched collegiate esports league as a varsity program member. Playfly will serve as NCU Fortnite's main league of competition. Playfly will also serve as supplemental competition for North Central's Rocket League, Valorant, and Super Smash Ultimate teams.
Founded in 2009 and formerly known as Collegiate Starleague, CSL Esports, and most recently NACE Starleague, North America's largest collegiate esports community will be re-established as
Playfly College Esports. The same team that's been responsible for organization and operations will remain in place and will be augmented by the full breadth of Playfly's back-office resources. Playfly offers over 14 game titles to choose from including COD, CS2, Dota 2, LoL, OW2, R6: Siege, Rocket League, Smash Ultimate, VALORANT, Hearthstone, Fortnite, iRacing, Chess, and PUBG MOBILE.
NCU Director of Esports,
Tyler Collins, had this to say on the new partnership, "I'm excited to be able to continue to offer our teams the ability to compete at a national level across so many titles. Being a member of Playfly means the students at NCU will have a chance to be challenged at every level of play."
