Columbia, SC -- North Central University Men's and Women's Track and Field had 17 student-athletes compete at this year's National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Track & Field Championships in Columbia, South Carolina. The Rams capped their season with a number of strong finishes, including two program records, a personal best and season best, and multiple top-10 performances on the national stage. Men
Hunter Harris (Freshman | Farmington, MN) - High Jump
Harris cleared 1.90m in the high jump to place 5th overall.
Zak Ruhland (Sophomore | Minneapolis, MN) - Javelin
Ruhland threw 46.18m in the javelin to finish 10th in the nation.
Tom Cao (Junior | Farmington, MN) - Pole Vault
Cao earned 2nd place in the pole vault by clearing 3.85m, finishing as the Rams' highest finisher.
Nehemiah Juaire (Senior, Belle Plaine, MN) - High Jump
Juaire cleared 1.80m in the high jump and placed 11th place.
Isaac Weiers (Senior | Neillsville, WI) - High Jump
Weiers leaped 1.90m in the high jump and finished 8th overall.
Caleb Lundt (Junior | Brooklyn Center, MN) - Javelin
Lundt landed a throw of 42.17m in the javelin and placed 20th overall.
Garrett Converse (Junior | Lexington, NE) - 3000 Steeplechase
Converse clocked a time of 10:49.33 in the 3000m steeplechase and placed 13th overall.
Josh Hinson (Freshman | Ellettsville, IN) - 400m
Hinson ran a personal-best 49.93 seconds in the 400m dash, placing 11th overall and setting a new NCU program record.
Men's 4x100 Meter Relay
Nehemiah Juaire,
Hunter Harris,
Zak Ruhland, and
Jaquan Adams secured an 8th-place finish with a time of 43.38 seconds.
Men's 4x400 Meter Relay
Josh Hinson,
Jaquan Adams,
Nehemiah Juaire, and
Hunter Harris ran a season-best 3:27.49 to place 11th overall and set a new NCU program record.
Women
Catelyn Ketterling (Freshman | Rosemount, MN) - 100m, 200m
Ketterling ran 12.90 seconds in the 100m prelims (12th place) and 26.45 in the 200m to place 15th overall.
Joyce Horton (Freshman | Rosemount, MN) - 100m Hurdles
Horton advanced to finals in the 100m hurdles with a 15.70 in prelims, then ran 15.80 seconds to place 11th nationally.
Lily Ciske (Freshman | St. James, MN) - Triple Jump
Ciske earned 8th place in the triple jump with a mark of 9.96m.
Ari Klein (Freshman | Sioux City, IA) - 100m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles
Klein finished 12th in the 100m hurdles prelims at 17.11 seconds and placed 11th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:10.31.
Brycelyn Brewster (Junior | Burnsville, MN) - 200m, 400m
Brewster took 6th in the 400m dash with a 59.41-second finish and placed 16th in the 200m prelims at 26.47 seconds.
Savi Rael (Senior | Corrales, NM) - 800m
Rael placed 16th in the 800m run, closing out her career with a time of 2:27.60.
Jessica Redman (Sophomore | Beaver Dam, WI) - 3000m Steeplechase
Redman finished 11th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 13:21.66.
Jazzmin Celis (Freshman | Irving, TX) - 400m Hurdles
Celis crossed the line in 1:14.91 in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 13th place.
