Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Rams Extend Conference Win Streak With Road Victory Over UW-Superior

Superior, WI -- Saturday, North Central University (NCU) Men's Basketball put together a complete road performance in Superior, earning a convincing 77-62 victory against the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) Yellowjackets. Coming off a win earlier in the week, the Rams carried that momentum into conference play with balanced scoring, defensive pressure, and efficient shooting on the road.

North Central set the tone early with active defense and transition offense. Senior guard Carrington McNeal opened the scoring with a steal and fast-break layup, helping the Rams jump out to an early advantage. Junior forward Jax Effertz quickly followed with finishes in the paint and a pair of three-pointers, stretching the lead as NCU capitalized on turnovers. The Rams' ball movement and perimeter shooting fueled a decisive mid-half run. Senior guard Carmello McNeal knocked down multiple threes, while senior guard Jaquan Adams provided an instant spark off the bench with efficient scoring. North Central closed the half on a strong note, forcing late turnovers and converting in transition to build a comfortable cushion at 39-26 heading into the break.

NCU maintained control coming out of the locker room, answering any early pressure with timely shooting. Effertz continued his strong afternoon from deep, while Carrington McNeal attacked the rim and lived at the free-throw line as the Rams steadily extended their lead. Adams was a key factor throughout the half, scoring in bunches while shooting nearly perfect from the field. Carmello McNeal added to the margin with additional three-pointers and strong finishes in transition, as North Central's defense generated steals and turned them into points. The Rams pushed the lead past 20 midway through the half and never looked back, closing out the road win with disciplined execution on both ends, winning by a final score of 77-62.
