MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – North Central University women's soccer opened the season with a statement, downing Faith Baptist Bible College 7-2 at Parade Park Field behind a sensational five-goal performance from Victoria De Abreu. The Rams overwhelmed the Eagles all afternoon, out-shooting them 20-8 and doubling them up in shots on goal, 13-6.

Faith Baptist Bible struck first, going up 2-0 on goals in the 6th and 21st minutes, the second on a penalty kick. But NCU answered quickly. Victoria De Abreu opened her account in the 23rd minute, and Hannah Sawczak leveled things up just over a minute later. The Rams took control from there, closing the half tied 2-2 but firmly building momentum.

North Central took over in the second half, and De Abreu was at the center of it all. She struck again in the 42nd and 46th minutes to give her a hat trick to open the season. De Abreu pu the Rams ahead and then added a fourth in the 57th minute. Bella Sorbo made it 6-2 in the 69th minute, and De Abreu capped her outstanding day with a fifth goal in the 88th minute, finishing the match with 15 shots, 11 on target, and five goals. Goalkeeper Olivia Johnlouis backstopped the win with four saves.
