MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA — The men's soccer led early but fell 3-1 to Concordia-Moorhead Tuesday at Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
North Central struck first in the 19th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but Concordia-Moorhead answered less than a minute later to tie it and eventually pulled away with two second-half goals, the last coming in the 73rd minute.
The Rams were outshot 25-7 but got a strong effort in goal to help keep the match within reach into the second half.
North Central created its share of chances in the run of play, too. Steven Griffith tested Concordia-Moorhead's goalkeeper twice in the opening 20 minutes, Samuel Tivane Jr had an early look saved in the seventh minute, and Rodrigo Burgos anchored the midfield for all 90 minutes. Off the bench, Arre Bagula and Santiago Grams each got involved with shot attempts as the Rams pushed for an equalizer in the second half.
