ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA — North Central (MN) women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to Hamline Wednesday at Pat Paterson Field.
Hamline jumped ahead early, scoring twice in a five-minute span in the first half to take a 2-0 lead by the 14th minute. Hamline added a third goal in the 58th minute to complete the scoring.
North Central was outshot 20-5 but got a heavy workload from its goalkeeper to help keep the match from getting further out of hand. The Rams also found their best chances in the second half, pushing forward as they searched for a response.
North Central saw several players get involved in the attack throughout. Victoria de Abreu was the Rams' most active threat up top, testing the Hamline goalkeeper multiple times across both halves. Joyce Horton joined the attack from the back line with a shot on goal late, and Olivia Beach provided a spark off the bench in relief of Bethsaida Myrthil. Joselyn Eckhart anchored the midfield for the full 90 minutes.
