Superior, Wisconsin — The North Central University Rams volleyball team hit the road Saturday afternoon to take on the UW-Superior Yellow Jackets. Entering the match with a 4-5 record, the Rams came ready to compete and battled throughout all three sets. Despite a strong effort and several momentum swings, NCU ultimately fell to UW-Superior, 0-3 (22-25, 14-25, 18-25).

Set 1: 22-25

The Rams opened the match with confidence, with Autumn Kaczmarek recording an early kill to get NCU on the board. The two teams remained neck and neck through several rallies before UW-Superior gained momentum with a five-point run.

The Yellow Jackets maintained their lead, but the Rams refused to back down. NCU continued to battle for every point and worked to close the gap late in the set. UW-Superior ultimately secured the opening set with back-to-back kills, taking it 25-22.

Set 2: 14-25

The Rams entered the second set looking to regain momentum, but UW-Superior came out strong, building an early four-point lead before putting together another run.

Despite finding themselves down 10-20, NCU continued to fight. Kaczmarek sparked the Rams with another kill, helping the team regain some momentum late in the set. However, the Yellow Jackets' early advantage proved difficult to overcome, and UW-Superior took the second set, 25-14.

Set 3: 18-25

The Rams came out of the third set with renewed energy, carrying the fight from the previous set onto the court. NCU jumped out to an early lead and showed strong defensive and offensive play.

Kaczmarek and Alexis Alms added to the momentum with a big block, helping the Rams maintain their advantage. The teams continued trading points through several rallies before UW-Superior put together a six-point run to take a 17-16 lead.

NCU continued to battle and looked for an opportunity to regain control, but the Yellow Jackets ultimately pulled away late in the set. UW-Superior closed out the match with a 25-18 third-set victory.
