2025 Season Highlights

Competed in both the indoor and outdoor seasons for North Central University... In the indoor season, Converse broke the North Central University program record in the 600m with a time of 1:30.83... In the UMAC Indoor Championships, Garrett placed 6th in the mile with a new personal-best time of 4:45.14 and 11th in the 800m at 2:07.46... In the outdoor season, Converse placed 3rd at the Gustie Twilight in the 1500 with a time of 4:29.51... Set a new PR in the 5000m at the Hamline Invite with a time of 16:57.13... In the UMAC Outdoor Championship, Garrett placed 3rd in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:28.04 and 5th in the 4x800m relay with a time of 9:12.57... He also placed 9th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.74, setting a new personal record... Garrett qualified for the NCCAA Nationals in the 3000m steeplechase. He finished 13th with a time of 10:49.33... Team captain... NCCAA Scholar Athlete... Fall Athletic Director Honor Roll... UMAC Academic All-Conference... 2025 Spring Distinguished Scholar Award.

2024 Season Highlights

Competed in his first indoor and outdoor season for the Rams... In the indoor season, ran a personal-best mile time at the UMAC Indoor Championship in 4:50.12... Recorded a personal-best in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10:45.78... In outdoor, recorded a personal best 1500 time of 4:16.00 at the Gary Wilson Invitational... At the UMAC Outdoor Championship, set a new personal-best in the outdoor 3000m with a time of 10:23.54... Also helped the 4 x 400 meter relay team to a 4th place finish... Recorded a career best in the 800m with a time of 2:06.46 at the Bethel Invite... Earned UMAC Indoor T&F Academic All-Conference... Awarded NCU Ram of the Week twice.

2023 Season Highlights

Competed in his first indoor and outdoor season for the Rams... In the indoor season, ran his best mile time at the UW River Falls Winter Classic in 4:57.88... His fastest indoor 800 meter time was posted at the Gene Glader classic in 2:16.03... In outdoor, recorded a season best 1500 time of 4:58.14 at the Running on Hope Invitational... At the UMAC Outdoor Championship, helped the 4 x 800 meter relay team to a 4th place finish. 

Prep Career

Ran Cross Country and Track and Field for Lexington High School... Named a senior year captain... His Cross Country team was named the 2022 Team State Champions... Graduated in 2022.

Born in Lexington, Nebraska on March 9th, 2004... Parents are Kevin and Mandy Converse... Kevin is the owner of G.C.F. Rentals and Converse Flooring... Has four siblings, Sabrina (20), Zachary (14), Kaylee (12), and Isaac (10)... Planning to major in Youth, Children, and Family studies.
