North Central University Athletics

The North Central University women's basketball team comes into tonight's matchup against the MIAC-affiliated Hamline University (HU) Pipers fresh off their first win of the season against the Mount Mary University Angels. The last time the two schools saw one another in women's basketball dates back to November 16th of last season, where the Pipers managed to outshoot the Rams in a high-scoring affair. Both rely heavily on their sharpshooters finding success behind the arc, as the last contest was highlighted by 43 three point field goal attempts.

Junior guard Bethany Shield was fundamental to the Rams' offense in their last showing against the Pipers. The Lincoln Southwest High School product dialed in a couple threes en route to posting 9 total points against HU. In addition to Shield, Naomi Hagstrom also paved the way for NCU as she dropped 8 points in addition to 3 key steals. The two Rams come into the matchup looking to build off their previous success against Hamline and grab a crucial win on their home floor.
